December 11, 1976 - April 23, 2021
Lidia was a great friend. She had a big heart. She was smart, strong, generous, and very talented, —a beautiful woman, with a lot of life still ahead of her. She loved her family, and her dog. She was kind to strangers and treated the poor with dignity and respect. It was April 07 when she told me she was sick and thought she had Covid. Over the next 9 days I stayed in touch with her while she quarantined at home. She did NOT want to go to the hospital. During that time, her situation worsened. But by April 16 seemed stable. Next thing I know she's in the hospital. That was the last time I heard from her. It was the last time anyone heard from her. Lidia died alone on April 23, 2021 in a hospital in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. AND I shudder to think under what conditions.
God be with her, and rest her soul.
Rest in Peace, Lidia. I miss you and will remember you always.
